A close trail for Drake Students to explore

The Walnut Creek trail is the perfect opportunity for students to get off of Drake’s campus and explore! The nearly three miles that the trail offers is a scenic route filled with nature and great views.
Located in Polk County Iowa, it has two points of entry and exit starting at 73rd St./Clive Greenbalt Trail and the Bill Riley Trail.
Although I have never been to the Walnut Creek Trails, I can only imagine its beauty. From the only image I could find of it on the internet, my curiosity is intrigued! As it’s colder, I am delighted by the sense of summer that the image brings. Seeing the color pink draped along the trees provides an internal warmth from the missing hues of the sun.
I wonder what my hiking journey along the trail would be like? Would I meet anyone? If I did meet anyone what would happen? Would I get anxious and run away? Or would I be able to convince them to buy me dinner? If I were able to convince a stranger on the trail to buy me dinner I would be amazed. I would hope that in this scenario it was an expensive dinner. A kind that would cost over thirty dollars and would allow me to treat myself!
However the thought of meeting a friend did cross my mind when thinking about who I would meet on the trail, but then I realized that none of my friends exercise. Which is the exact opposite of this post!
You! Yes, you! The person who is reading this! Should be convinced by my earlier paragraphs to visit the Walnut Creek Trail. Although I’ve never seen it in person, I am amazed by its capability to be walked upon. That could by yourself, and all of your amazing friends. Imagine, every time you walk on campus it is most likely because you are heading to class, or even going to a place to study. THATS GROSS!
If you went to the Walnut Creek Trail, you wouldn’t have to do that. You could do what some call a, “Hot Girl Walk.” In my three years at Drake, I’ve never had any ‘Hot Girl Walks’ on campus. All of my “Hot Girl Walks’ are always off campus. Which leads me to my main point of why you should go hiking. It is super fun! And if you don’t go then you will forever be considered a stinky poop butt by this author! Feel my wraith and go the Walnut Creek Trail in Polk County Iowa!
